Medicaid In School Program Audit Manager

The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking a professional to help improve health services for students across the state. This position manages audit activities for the Medicaid in Schools Program (MSP) to assist participating Ohio schools obtain federal and / or state reimbursement for providing healthcare services to their students. As an MSP Audit Manager, your responsibilities will include :

  • Monitoring MSP providers for fiscal & programmatic compliance
  • Reviewing cost reports submitted to ODM for Medicaid School Program
  • Performing an annual risk assessment to monitor billing agents, Certified Public Accountants, participating school districts, community schools, Educational Service Centers and other identified MSP administrative participants
  • Monitoring of the selected Random Moment Time Study vendor
  • Reviewing state and federal rules and regulations to establish audit policies and procedures
  • Responding to provider, third party and / or governmental agency inquiries

  • Completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting, business administration; computer science or related field; 4 yrs. exp. in auditing or accounting which must have included 2 yrs. auditing exp. in accordance with auditing standards or in accordance with prescribed management policies & / or procedures as specified on agency position description; 2 yrs. exp. as audit team lead or auditor in charge.

  • Or 6 yrs. exp. in auditing or accounting which must have included 3 yrs. auditing exp. in accordance with auditing standards or in accordance with prescribed management policies & / or procedures as specified on agency position description; 2 yrs. exp. as audit team lead or auditor in charge.
  • Or 12 mos. exp. as External Auditor 3, 66463.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above
  • Job Skills : Auditing

    Compensation is as listed on the posting unless required by legislation or union contract. This position is overtime exempt. Travel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation.
