Operations Manager

Our client, a nationwide wholesale supplier of fine floral products, has an immediate need for an experienced Operations Manager, to join our winning team in Hackensack. Our candidate of choice will oversee day-to-day operations and serve as the on-site leadership presence in our Hackensack office. You will manage operations, coordinate teams, and ensure business efficiency along w bringing structure, accountability, and operational excellence to a growing business with an established team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Manage and coordinate across 8+ employees including warehouse staff, data managers, and administrative personnel Primary management responsibility for the E-commerce Data Manager - ensuring data accuracy, accountability, and error prevention across all platforms Work collaboratively with the Sales Manager (general manager on-site) who excels with customers and product knowledge but needs operational support with details and follow-through Support warehouse operations managed Warehouse Manager Co-Warehouse Manager / E-commerce Shipping Manager Coordinate with Import Manager / Manufacturer Liaison and bookkeeper as needed Oversee daily operations including vendor management, inventory oversight, and coordination between warehouse and e-commerce fulfillment Implement and maintain organizational systems including calendars, procedures, and communication structures Ensure tasks don’t fall through cracks - follow up on issues until resolution Manage data flow and accuracy across 10-15 active e-commerce platforms including Amazon (FBA, FBM, Amazon Direct, Amazon PO), Walmart, and others Problem-solve operational issues as they arise - from incorrect product deliveries to platform errors to customer escalations Coordinate information flow between departments to ensure seamless operations Serve as the on-site operational decision-maker and primary point of contact Handle day-to-day operational decisions independently; escalate strategic issues to owner Daily communication with owner (lessening over time as you learn the business) Unburden owner from operational details and task management Create structure and organization where owner currently fills gaps Work with company’s proprietary software system (training provided) Oversee ShipStation for shipping management Ensure data accuracy across all platforms and systems Learn and eventually back up critical data management functions First 30 days : Learn the business, build relationships with team, understand workflows and systems KEY REQUIREMENTS : Knows what an operations manager does and can bring best practices to our business Can manage challenging personalities and create accountability without conflict Works independently and takes initiative without constant direction Excels at creating structure, systems, and organization Sees problems and solves them proactively Communicates effectively and keeps everyone informed Wants to be part of a stable, established business with growth opportunities Brings common-sense approach to business operations WE OFFER : Salary : $80,000 - $120,000 based on experience Health insurance Profit-sharing plan Year-end bonus (typically) PTO and sick days Paid holidays Please apply today to be immediately considered for the role!
