Category Specialist

The Category Specialist will be responsible for the development, communication, and execution of the tropical (mango) category and supply plan strategy. They will own relationships with grower / shippers as they work to develop, onboard, and execute their supply plan. Operating in a blend of tactical and strategic work, they will impact the business by managing supply mix, pricing strategies, and workflow to grow and limit risk.

This is a hybrid role requiring four days in office at one of our Robinson Fresh locations and one day to work remote.

Duties And Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following :

• Communicates with suppliers daily to understand quality, yields, pricing, and production
• Proactively shares commodity and market information to commercial team, enabling confident sales and growth
• Supports transactional, promotional, and contract pricing recommendations
• Maintains grower / supplier relationships and continually assist in ways to improve their performance using data
• Understands the customer base, to include product specifications and order patterns
• Aligns the right supply to the right customers, and communicate packing instructions to suppliers
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and / or country specific requirements

Compensation Range $23.56 - $48.99
