Description :

The Emergency Department has a capacity of 22 beds with a vertical space area for additional patients.

The staff consists of approximately 50 members.

Staffing includes 1 Clinical Coordinator, 5-6 nurses, 1 technician, and 1 medic on the day shift.

On the night shift, staffing includes 1 Clinical Coordinator, 5-6 nurses, 1 secretary, and 1 technician / medic.

Patient ratios are 1 : 4.

Equipment includes Phillips and GE Monitors and Level 1 Rapid Infusers.

The electronic medical record system is Meditech.

Candidates without the must-have skills listed will not be considered for the role.

Preferred qualifications include trauma experience and familiarity with Meditech.

Typical procedures performed in the unit include cardioversion, central line placements, and advanced cardiac life support.

Basic emergency room skills such as IV insertions and EKGs are also part of the job.

Other protocols include Code Stroke, Code Sepsis, and suturing / abscess setup.

Ideal candidates should be team players, energetic, professional, and respectful towards both patients and team members.

Accountability towards self and others is crucial.

Candidates must be patient-centered and focused, with excellent attendance.

The ability to adapt quickly to change is important.

Position requires working every other weekend, including at least one Friday and one Monday in a four-week schedule.

No on-call duty is required.
