• Graduate of National League of Nursing Accredited School of Nursing\n
• NJ RN license\n
• AHA BLS Provider\n
• Interpersonal skills\n
• Ability to collaborate with others\n\nPreferred : \n
• BSN degree\n
• 6 months nursing experience\n
• Pediatric and / or rehabilitative nursing experience\n\nCertifications and Licenses Required : \n
• NJ RN license\n
• AHA BLS Provider\n\nScheduling Requirements : \n
• Per Diem\n
• Day Shift\n\nEssential Functions : \n
• Demonstrates evidence of use of the nursing process within time frames defined by the hospital and departmental policy\n
• Recognizes and accurately identifies patient and family healthcare needs\n
• Plans, implements and evaluates pediatric rehab plans for patients with a variety of problems\n
• Begins to plan and implement pediatric rehabilitation rationales\n
• Implements appropriate and individualized patient and family education within time frames defined by hospital and departmental policy\n
• Begins planning and implementing patient and family education\n
• Understands the importance of the interdisciplinary process\n
• Functions as a rehab nurse in a team structure\n
• Promotes continuity of nursing care and interdisciplinary interventions\n
• Incorporates LPNs and nursing assistants into attainment of short-term goals and delegates appropriately\n
• Recognizes and respects patient|family rights in a culturally and religiously sensitive environment of care\n
• Requests guidance from CNII, III, and other resources when appropriate\n
• Supports hospital's policies and procedures\n
• Consistently appraises clinical performance and learning needs through self-evaluation\n
• Exhibits consistent professional behavior and is accountable for actions with regard to professional issues\n
• Guides, assists and serves as a role model for, LPNs, nurse externs, nursing assistants, nursing students and new staff\n
• Assumes the role of relief charge nurse\n
• Keeps nursing supervisor informed of patient needs and problems\n
