Job Title : Benefits Manager

Location (city, state) : Charlotte, NC

Industry : Professional Services / Corporate HR

Pay : $100,000 – $155,000 annually (based on experience and location) + discretionary bonus

Addison Group is partnering with a well-established professional services organization to hire a Benefits Manager. This is a high-visibility role offering the opportunity to shape, manage, and enhance employee benefits programs across multiple office locations.

Job Description :

The Benefits Manager will oversee the planning, administration, and communication of employee benefit offerings. This role requires a strong leader who can manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance, and deliver programs that meet both organizational goals and employee needs. The ideal candidate will be approachable, empathetic, and skilled at engaging employees at all levels.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of health, retirement, and wellness benefits programs.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to align benefits with organizational strategy.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to maintain competitive offerings.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.).
  • Collaborate with HRIS and payroll teams to streamline processes and reporting.
  • Drive employee education and communication regarding benefits programs.
  • Support annual budgeting, compliance reporting, and audits.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (advanced degree or certifications preferred).
  • 8-10 years of experience in benefits administration
  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a people-first mindset.
