About the

The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures on large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, identifying potential hazards, and proactively mitigating risks through training, inspections, incident investigations, and close collaboration with project teams. Worker safety and promoting a culture of safety excellence will be paramount.

  • Developing, cultivating, and promoting a company-wide culture of safety
  • Implementing policies and procedures that are in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Training and educating all team members and stakeholders in safety best practices
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance through site inspections, audits, and assessments
  • Investigating any safety-related incidents that may occur
  • 5+ years of safety management experience in the heavy civil and / or heavy highway construction industry
  • A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related discipline, or commensurate experience
  • Strong work ethic combined with exemplary leadership and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of industry safety standards (DOT including Traffic Control, OSHA, etc.)
  • The ability to effectively train and educate team members
  • This position is based in Louisville, KY
