Description : Unit Information :

A 6 West Neurosciences unit with 36 beds and 40 staff members.

The day shift consists of 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 CNAs, and 1 HUC.

The night shift has 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1 HUC.

Patient Ratios : 5 : 1 on day shifts.

6 : 1 on stretch day shifts.

7 : 1 on stretch night shifts.

Type of Equipment :

Standard medical-surgical equipment and EMR system - Cerner.

Typical Skill Set Required :

Candidates must possess NIH and ACLS certifications.

Neuro experience is preferred.

Typical Procedures Performed :

Foley insertion and IV start.

Best Personality Fit :

Outgoing and self-motivated individuals.

Floating Areas :

Other medical-surgical floors.

Dress Code :

Scrub color - Navy Blue.

Unit Guidelines / Policies :

A reference book for new staff will be provided at the start of the contract.

Every other weekend availability is required.
