🩺 Position Overview : Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

📅 Start Date : ASAP (contingent on completion of onboarding requirements)

💼 Employment Type : Full-Time, Contracted via Agency

💲 Pay Period : Monday – Sunday

🕒 Schedule :

Shifts : 3x12-hour night shifts per week

Hours : 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Holiday Rotation : Yes

🧠 Job Summary :

As an RN at JCHC, you will provide total patient care using the nursing process—assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs. You will also guide patient education and supervise ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

✅ Qualifications :

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Active Iowa RN License

Certifications Required :

BCLS (AHA)

ACLS (AHA)

Experience preferred but not required

📋 Pre-Employment Requirements

BLS & ACLS – AHA (front and back copies)

Other applicable certifications (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC if held)

Health Requirements :

Immunization Records :

MMR : 2 doses or positive titers

Varicella : positive titer or 2 doses

Polio vaccine

Hepatitis B : full series, titer, or signed declination

TDaP (within past 10 years)

COVID-19 vaccination

Flu vaccine (if working Oct 1 – March 31)

Tuberculosis Clearance :

2-step Mantoux within 1 year or QuantiFERON Gold

If positive : documentation of positive result + chest X-ray

Physical exam – within 1 year of start

10-Panel Drug Screen – within 30 days of start

Respirator Fit Test – within 1 year (JCHC can provide if unavailable)

Background Checks (within 30 days of start) :

Criminal background (all states of residence / license / work in past 7 years)

National and State Sex Offender registries

GSA (SAM.gov) / EPLS

OIG exclusion check

Training & Education :

Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates (Child & Dependent Adult Abuse)

If not certified, will be assigned in CareLearning module – must be completed prior to start

Completion of CareLearning education modules (Instructions provided post-acceptance)
