Job Description
We are seeking a Production Specialist to support and improve the production of Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) materials and assist in launching new products into manufacturing. This role is ideal for a technically skilled individual who is looking to grow into a Process Engineer position within a dynamic and innovative environment.
This individual will play a key role in optimizing production, managing inventory, and ensuring on-time product launches while maintaining a safe, efficient workplace. Strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to lead production efforts are essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to
- Improve existing SMC production processes and support the launch of new products
- Lead day-to-day production operations and inventory control
- Ensure a safe and compliant workplace environment
- Participate in internal and external audits (e.g., cost, process)
- Manage production schedules and personnel planning
- Adjust production inventory using SAP / MES
- Order and track equipment and materials for production
- Communicate effectively with mold and equipment vendors in Korea and the U.S.
- Collect, organize, and report production data in a timely and accessible manner
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering , or a related technical field (e.g., Industrial Equipment Engineering) preferred0–5 years in a production or process-related role in manufacturingStrong communication and teamwork skillsDemonstrated ability to lead projects or small teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)Preferred Experience :
Bilingual in Korean / English preferredEngineering experience with plastics or composite materials preferredExperience in automotive plastics manufacturing preferred (e.g., headliners, undercovers, truck beds)Familiarity with thermoforming, thermoset molding, or similar materials is a plusKnowledge of tool and equipment design, automation, robotics, or assembly processes is a plusExperience using SAP and MES systems is preferred
