Responsibilities Work in a float pool across multiple hospital locations within a 60-mile radius in the float zone’s city center Assignment is for the Progressive Intermediate Step Down (IMC) unit Float assignments may change per schedule and can include duties beyond the initial specialty as per policy Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week Patients generally require intermediate step down level care Care documentation is completed in Epic EMR and Epic experience is preferred Provide relationship-based care to a diverse intermediate step down patient population Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, implementing care interventions, and evaluation Must be able to float across multiple hospitals and adapt to varied unit needs as required Anticipated to collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams and families Professional development and participation in unit-based quality improvement is expected Flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 to Mar 31); only case-by-case medical exemptions allowed Dress code and scrub color requirements will be provided upon assignment First time travelers may be considered Requirements Active CO or compact state RN license is required Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred At least one year of RN experience is preferred Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required National Nursing Certification (ANCC approved) strongly preferred No pending licenses accepted at time of consideration Candidates must live at least 60 miles from all covered facilities in the float zone; local candidates are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619655.
