Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing reconciliations, and overseeing month-end close processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations and work with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities :

• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial reporting is accurate.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with accounting principles.
• Prepare and post journal entries to document financial transactions and adjustments.
• Conduct regular account and bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
• Utilize Yardi software to manage accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide insights into financial performance.
• Collaborate with the accounts payable and receivable teams to streamline processes and resolve issues.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for internal stakeholders and audits.
• Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards while maintaining high levels of accuracy.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of general ledger processes.

Proficiency in month-end close procedures, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Experience with Yardi software is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.

Skilled in variance analysis and financial reporting.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas and data sets.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
