Orthopedic Surgery PA – Maternity Leave Coverage

Indianapolis, IN | ✈️ Closest Airport : IND

️ August 18, 2025 – January 16, 2026

Join a well-established orthopedic team in Indianapolis, IN for a full-time locum tenens opportunity covering for a provider on maternity leave. This position is ideal for a skilled PA with strong experience in total joint, general ortho, and sports medicine cases.

Position Highlights :

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM

Call & Weekends : None – enjoy your evenings and weekends off!

Patient Volume : 15–20 patients per day; up to 16 patients per half-day in clinic

Start Date : August 18, 2025

End Date : January 16, 2026

Credentialing Timeframe : 30–45 days

EMR : Epic

Clinical Responsibilities :

Coverage across Main OR, Surgery Centers, Outpatient Practice, and Hospital Rounding

Perform and assist with procedures in Total Joint, General Ortho, and Sports Medicine

Daily Rounding : 2–4 hours anticipated

Travel between 2 hospitals / clinics (approx. 15-minute drive)

Requirements :

Indiana PA License – active and in good standing

Comfortable with both surgical and outpatient care

Prior experience in orthopedic surgery (total joints, general ortho, sports med) preferred

Support Staff :

1 Medical Assistant (MA)

1 Office Staff
