How You Can Make a Difference
As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in a dedicated team providing compassionate care and support to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. You will work closely with a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to ensure the best care for patients with renal failure.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care : You will interact directly with patients, delivering safe and high-quality dialysis treatment. Your tasks will include gathering patient vitals before and after treatment, initiating treatment, monitoring patients, terminating treatment as needed, and collecting blood samples according to physician orders.
- Technical Duties : You will ensure optimal quality by preparing dialysis machines, cleaning and disinfecting them post-treatment, and conducting safety checks to maintain compliance with protocols and regulations.
- Safety and Compliance : You will follow all safety measures, including the use of personal protective equipment. Adhering to policies, procedures, and legal standards is crucial. Attendance at staff meetings and ongoing education is also a part of your commitment to quality care.
What We Are Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent.A passion for healthcare and providing patient care.Previous experience in healthcare, including dialysis or CNA roles, is a plus.Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to safety protocols.Ability to distinguish all primary colors.Additional Requirements
Completion of the USRC training program, approved by the Medical Director, showcasing your competence in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.Obtain and maintain Patient Care Technician certification through a recognized state or national program within 18 months of your hire date, fulfilling all applicable state requirements.Ready to Make an Impact?
