Jr. Civil Engineer – Water Resources

Location – potential to work in a hybrid environment at one of our established studios.

Exp Federal is an established Chicago-based full service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of exceptional design solutions and construction support to the federal government. Our team of professionals operates in some of the most challenging environments to provide support services to a variety of governmental agencies globally.

The Challenge :

We are seeking a Jr. Civil Engineer with a specialty in Water Resources to join our growing design team in our Atlanta, GA; Chantilly, VA; and Chicago, IL office.

Principle areas of responsibility are :

• Preparation of Construction Documents including specifications
• Use third party applications (XP SWMM, Stormwise (ICPR), or equivalent modeling software) to provide stormwater management design.
• Site Design to include siting of the building, design of the geometry of the supporting site features including parking, pedestrian flow, and access roads.
• Design to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Preparation of applicable storm water and environmental permitting.
• Grading and drainage design including storm sewer design / calculations.
• Wet and dry utility design including sizing and alignment.

Required Qualifications :

Salary Base :

This full-time position has an annual base range of $67,900.00-$83,800.00USD. This position is eligible for overtime in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. The actual hourly rate is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
