Assistant Plant Manager
Your role :
As Assistant Plant Manager, you will support the Plant Manager by guiding the successful completion of plant-wide programs and projects. Your responsibilities :
Manage operations, including food safety, plant quality, customer experience, employee and asset safety, plant security, plant environmental, cost savings, continuous improvement, adoption of initiatives and innovation that generate world class efficiencies, and competitive positioningLead a zero-loss culture, assuring a safe working environment and compliance with all EHS and Food Safety StandardsFormulate or approve short- and long-term operating objectives in areas such as cost reduction, quality improvement, new product development and / or integrationDrive customer execution to deliver results that meet quality and customer service objectivesDevelop strong customer interaction and relationshipsCollaborate across all functions to achieve optimal total business margin for the plant and the enterpriseProvide positive labor relations management, contract negotiation, and / or union avoidanceIdentify operational discrepancies and provide focused solutions with a timeline for corrective actionWork with the plant team to continuously improve maintenance and reliability program, the production process, improve safety, optimize production costs, and enhance product quality by implementing best and standard practicesWork with facility staff and corporate functional leads to plan and execute plant managed capital improvementsCommunicate business results and identify gaps for improvement of key metricsLead a culture and drive activities that help to fulfill Our PromiseMaintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards, and sanitation practicesEssential skills and experience :
Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years or High School diploma / GED with 6-8 years of experience in flour milling or related manufacturing industryDemonstrated knowledge and experience in continuous improvement methodologies, tools, trends and best practicesDemonstrated ability to use metrics to drive changeExperience with assembly or process manufacturingExperience with process optimizationFamiliar with safety, environmental, and regulatory policiesDemonstrated success with project management, including developing capital plans and managing from planning to completionGood to have :
Additional 2-4 years of experience with demonstrated increases in responsibilityDemonstrated ability to create, modify, and write specifications, training materials, and / or best practicesWillingness to continue to develop and broaden an extensive knowledge of relevant areas of expertisePhysical Requirements and Working Conditions (With or without reasonable accommodation) :
