Location : Washington DC-Capital Hill, or National Harbor

Compensation : $38-$47 hour based on experience

Schedule : Full-time, 30+ hours per week

Setting : Skilled Nursing Facility / Rehabilitation Center

Reports To : Director of Rehabilitation

Position Summary / Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive therapy services to assist patients in regaining functional independence. Key responsibilities include :

  • Assessing patients and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Implementing therapy interventions to improve daily living skills and functional mobility.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Supervising therapy assistants and students as required by licensure.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Educating patients and families on rehabilitation goals and treatment plans.
  • Participating in facility meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or recognized foreign equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current and valid OT license / certification.
  • Experience working with adult / geriatric populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as patient transfers, equipment handling, and extended periods of standing / walking.
