Plumbing Technician II - CPS Energy - San Antonio

Job Summary

The Plumbing Technician II is responsible for independently operating, monitoring, and maintaining key building systems. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing plumbing components in accordance with SOPs, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines. The technician also manages tool and spare parts inventory, recommends equipment purchases to improve efficiency, and collaborates with engineers to enhance facility processes and system performance.

Essential Duties

• Responds to Facility Service Work Orders from building occupants
• Collaborates with fellow technicians to maintain and repair mechanical, and plumbing systems. Proficiently interprets blueprints and schematic drawings to ensure accurate troubleshooting and repairs
• Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately. Takes readings from nominal equipment and makes timely entry into appropriate logs
• Executes planned maintenance, repairs, and modifications encompassing painting, patching, fixture installations, caulking, carpentry, and more within the facility
• Uses tools and equipment that are standard issue and do not need further calibration or adjustment, and keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner
• Observes and complies with all company safety policies. Uses required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests
• Works on and completes all facility team-based goals
