Quality Manager

Overview

Quality Assurance Manager position at Cornerstone Building Brands, based in Kearney, MO. The role provides leadership, direction, and resource stewardship for Quality in the manufacturing facility and leads cross-functional strategies to execute the company's production system quality control roadmap.

Successful candidates demonstrate commitment to safety, build trust, develop people, set high expectations, act as change agents, encourage cross-functional collaboration, and show resilience. The role reports to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to the Corporate Quality Director.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Foster a culture aligned with our mission, values, and success model; ensure quality is a shared mindset and a way of life at Cornerstone Building Brands (CBB).
• Identify and implement ways of working that emphasize process quality over individuals.
• Build strong business relationships and collaborate across multiple functions.
• End-to-end quality responsibility : supplier, manufacturing, and customer satisfaction.
• Support development of the Cornerstone Quality Management System and lead factory-level execution.
• Lead and execute process improvement projects to reduce Cost of Poor Quality at the factory.
• Develop and implement methods for inspection, testing, sampling, and training.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and internal metrics; drive initiatives to improve quality as a competitive advantage.
• Support development and execution of the Cornerstone Production System Quality Control Pillar.
• Develop and maintain the Quality Prioritization Matrix.
• Lead or facilitate team problem solving for quality issues to determine root cause and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Identify and implement new technologies to improve quality control systems, including error-proofing solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

Full-time position. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision starting day 1, PTO, paid holidays, FSA, life insurance, LTD, STD, 401k, EAP, discount programs, tuition reimbursement, training, and professional development. Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
