Responsibilities
- Coordinate the secure, productive, and effective use of technology in the facility, and provide hardware and software technical support to users of personal computers and associated equipment.
- Coordinate technology services, maintenance, and training throughout the facility.
- Ensure information technology resources (computer hardware, network and operating systems software and telecommunications hardware) function properly and are maintained in good operating condition.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on personal computers and related equipment, including LAN / WAN equipment, PCs, laptops, telecom equipment, key control devices, software and peripherals.
- Analyze the need for new computer equipment; assess quality, compatibility, reliability, and suitability to the institution's needs.
- Provide configuration requirements for new computer acquisitions, recommend methods of using existing equipment to satisfy new requirements, and perform benchmark tests of proposed new equipment; ensure licensing compliance.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Computer Science or related technology field is required.Two years of experience in desktop support is required.Additional years of related work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, Microsoft Office Suite and technology hardware including computers, printers and scanners.Ability to maintain and troubleshoot a basic network infrastructure.A+ and N+ certification is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.A valid driver's license is required.Minimum age requirement : Must be at least 21 years of age.CoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace and EOE – including Disability / Veteran.
