Machine Operator - Nights ($5,000 sign-on bonus!) Company Profile NPS was founded in 1996 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  We are committed to providing high-quality products, responsive service, and exceptional value.

With multiple locations across the United States, NPS makes towel and tissue products for the Away from Home markets in addition to specialty packaging material (both protective and insulating) for a broad assortment of retailers and customers.

HOURS :

  • 5PM-5AM or 5AM-5PM   $5,000 sign-on bonus! $3 shift differential!  Job Overview This individual will be responsible for operating and ensuring the machine is running at its optimum level both safely and efficiently.  This position will monitor all physical characteristics, monitor specific tests and results, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure quality material is being manufactured with low waste.  Primary Responsibilities Have the physical ability to perform manual labor; climb; bend, etc.
  • Have a good work, safety, performance, and attendance record.
  • Set up machines and make necessary changes to ensure quality material is produced.
  • Perform quality control tests on all materials manufactured.
  • Perform roll changes, thread the machine, trouble shoot, make diameter, perforation cut, tension, and log saw adjustments.
  • Responsible for cleaning the machine and work area creating a clean and safe working environment.
  • Accurately complete daily production reports, and other miscellaneous paperwork.

Fix runnability problems :

  • Perform diameter and perforation adjustments, correct tension problems, and any other machine problems or adjustments as they arise.

    • Log Saw adjustments :

  • Understand the correct way to set grind stones, change and grind log saw blade, set roll clamps, and set program screen.

    • Roll changes :

  • Put on correct parent rolls of paper as needed, cutting down finished cores.  Splicing the roll of paper into the web and / or threading the machine.

    • Greasing and oiling :

  • Lubricate machines daily, making sure oiler is full and all times and that the machine is greased.
  • Constant standing, walk and use of hands and fingers and frequent talking and hearing.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Responsible for all other tasks as assigned.
  • Required Experience Prior machine operating experience preferred Must be mechanically inclined Powered by JazzHR
