Job Summary :

The Manager of Community Impact and Volunteer Programs plays a vital role in connecting the community to FosterAdopt

Connects mission. This position is responsible for creating meaningful volunteer experiences, leading community drives, and supporting special initiatives that provide critical resources to children and families impacted by foster care.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, coordinate, and manage volunteer recruitment and onboarding and activities for individuals and groups across the Kansas City metro area, ensuring a positive and impactful experience.
  • Liaise with branch leadership on volunteer onboarding, opportunities and experience.
  • Lead the planning, promotion, and execution of annual donation drives and distribution events, including Back 2 School, Sock & Undie, and seasonal hygiene / food collections.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Major Giving and Community Impact to coordinate the Give Joy holiday program.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners, businesses, and civic groups to increase engagement and donations of in-kind items.
  • Manage in-kind donation tracking, donor recognition and stewardship.
  • Work closely with staff and leadership to align community engagement activities with organizational priorities and client needs.

  • Experience working with marginalized communities with a nuanced understanding of systemic oppressions.
