Must-Have :

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and care for cardiac patients.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage dysrhythmias.
• Experience in post-MI and pre / post cardiac catheterization care.

Description :

This is an intermediate care position focusing on telemetry.

The clinician will care for adult patients requiring cardiac monitoring.

Patients may include those pre and post cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patients.

The unit also manages patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, and renal failure.

Care involves monitoring 24 observation patients to rule out myocardial infarction.

Additionally, the role includes providing care for patients after they have transferred out of the ICU.

The daily patient ratio will vary from 1 : 5 to 1 : 6 based on staffing needs.

The shift schedule will rotate with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Additional interdisciplinary support on the unit includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.

The facility is equipped to manage a variety of adult patient diagnoses and provide necessary interventions.
