\nManager is looking for Medsurg skilled RNs for this MS / Onc unit.

\n

\nREQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP :

\nMinimum Years of Experience : 2 year

\nTraveler Experience : Will accept 1st time travelers.

\nLocals Accepted / Rate Difference : Yes

\nSkills : Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med / Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac

\nCerts : Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS

\n

\nPREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP : CPI. Charge nurse experience, OCN

\nTarget Ratios : 1 : 6

\nShift : NIGHTS

\n13-26 weeks accepted

\nRTO : 7 days MAX - 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48.

\nCall Requirement : Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.

\nFloat Requirement : Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.

\nPATIENT DIAGNOSES : General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy / biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection.

\n

\nAKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips,

\n

\nSPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : Daily Census 42.

\nDuring times of increased census, typical ratios may be higher.

\n

\nContract staff will be assigned equally to the home unit staff to ensure that patients are covered with a registered nurse

\n

\nContract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team

\nContract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster

\n

\nContract staff may be preassigned to units as needed

\n

\nLike units includes floating to inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.

\n

\nShifts called out will need to have make up shifts rescheduled.

\n

\nAttendance to monthly staff meetings.

\n

\n

\nUNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.

\n

\n

\nUNIT ORIENTATION : 24 hrs (2 shifts)

\n

\n

\nSCRUBS : Navy Blue and white.

\n

\n

\n
