Start Date : October 16, 2025

Schedule : 2nd Shift, Monday Friday, 2 : 30 PM 11 : 00 PM, with overtime every other Saturday

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Controller / Assistant to support shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution operations at a plasma lab facility. The role includes both physical and administrative tasks to ensure timely handling and accountability of materials, supplies, specimens, and equipment. Safety compliance and meticulous record-keeping are critical in this fast-paced, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Perform physical handling of inventory including shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution.

Receive materials and supplies, verify against packing lists, and document appropriately.

Troubleshoot and resolve inbound and outbound shipment delays.

Organize inventory in storage areas ensuring security and accountability.

Prepare materials for shipment and maintain shipping records.

Adhere to safety regulations including EHS policies and proper use of PPE (lab coats, face shields, gloves, safety goggles).

Handle bio-hazardous waste safely in compliance with regulatory standards.

Maintain lab, grounds, and parking areas as per company SOPs.

Use computer systems for inventory control, maintenance, and security documentation.

Follow all standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety protocols.

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently during daily tasks.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, and lifting of moderate weight.

Exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens.

Mandatory use of personal protective equipment.

Fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic computer skills required.

Able to pass background screening including criminal, social security, and sex offender checks.

Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with SAP inventory systems.

Prior experience in material handling and / or maintenance.

Forklift certification is NOT required.

Interview Process

In-person interviews only with hiring manager and possible assistant manager.

Includes a lab tour; candidates must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
