The Tampa Bay Rays and Rowdies are seeking a creative, hard-working and team-oriented individual to join our ambitious, forward-thinking Rays Creative team. The Graphic Designer is expected to design engaging and high-level creative that will touch every part of our business. This graphic designer will contribute to our fun and energetic culture, bringing a positive attitude and a keen eye for creative problem solving.
Responsibilities
Produce compelling art and visuals, functional graphic design, and excellent branding and campaign work from conception to completionCollaborate with Rays Creative team to push our brand creative forward in new and exciting waysProduce art for various creative initiatives such as, but not limited to :Social media Digital, print and out of home advertising
Stadium signage and corporate partnership assetsPromotional items / packagingSales and analytics collateral and materialsParticipate in brainstorming sessions for global creativeFoster strong working relationships with other creative team membersWork hand-in-hand with project management staff, receiving feedback from stakeholders and teammates to create high impact dead-line driven projectsProduce some designs during non-normal business hours in accordance with game days and vital baseball and soccer communicationsEducation and / or Experience
Bachelor’s degree3+ years of experience in a creative role within sports, entertainment or with an agencyCreative problem solverPositive, friendly and team-oriented attitudeSelf-starter with multitasking experienceComfort working in a deadline-driven environmentAbility to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidaysKnowledge of current design trends and an interest in emerging visual stylesFluency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically in InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoshopBackground and / or passion for fine art mediaGood copywriting instincts and a strong attention to detailHigh level skills in typography, spatial hierarchy and brand and logo creationKnowledge of baseball preferred
