Swoon is hiring for our client for a fully remote opportunity.

This will be a 12-month contract opportunity with Benefits - Health, Dental & Vision (50% of premium covered for contractor).

About the Role

This individual will drive strategic procurement initiatives, manage vendor relationships, ensure contract compliance, and collaborate with key IT and business stakeholders to optimize operational efficiency and cost savings.

Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with overall business and IT objectives
  • Conduct market research and vendor analysis to identify competitive and innovative solutions
  • Partner with IT leadership to forecast procurement needs and establish sourcing plans

Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Lead contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms, compliance, and long-term value
  • Monitor vendor performance, service delivery, and adherence to contractual commitments

    • Contract Management

  • Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle for IT products and services, including renewals and amendments
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Perform risk analysis on contract language and terms

    • Procurement Operations

  • Oversee RFI / RFP processes, bid evaluations, and award recommendations
  • Maintain procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and audit records
  • Coordinate with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate billing, reconciliation, and cost tracking
  • Track and document cost savings and efficiency improvements

    • Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with IT, Legal, Finance, and project teams to align on business priorities
  • Provide procurement guidance, insights, and regular status updates to internal stakeholders
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on sourcing strategy, vendor selection, and process optimization
