Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient ambulatory clinic with experience in hand therapy highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Hospital-based ambulatory clinic supporting orthopedics, geriatrics, cardiopulmonary (Phase III cardiac), aquatic therapy, wound care, hand clinic and neurological patients
  • Typical daily caseload of 11 patients, providing 1 : 1 direct care
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM
  • No weekends, on-call, or holiday shifts required
  • May be required to float to surrounding outpatient clinics based on census and skill set
  • Charting is completed using Cerner EMR; experience preferred
  • Short term acute care facility with Level I trauma and teaching environment
  • Business casual dress code is required
  • Primary responsibilities include direct evaluation and treatment of a diverse outpatient caseload, including hand therapy
  • Role supports a multidisciplinary team environment across several specialty areas
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • No local candidates will be considered
  • Return travelers must meet facility rehire criteria and cannot have cancelled a prior contract within 10 days of start
  • All new hires must complete required compliance and training modules during orientation
  • Unit manager approval is required for requested time off
  • No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment due to orientation
  • Candidates must work two out of three major holidays if assignment overlaps with those dates
  • Free parking is available onsite

    • Requirements

  • Current AZ PT license or Compact PT license required if applicable
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
  • Hand therapy certification is highly preferred
  • Two professional references required, including one from the most recent employer
  • Comfortable floating to other clinics as needed
