Senior Mechanical Engineer – Power Convertors

$140,000-$160,000

Atlanta, GA

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design and development of mechanical solutions for high-voltage power converters. This role involves the full lifecycle of engineering – from concept design through CAD, analysis, prototyping, testing, and final implementation – working closely with cross-functional teams in electrical, test, and manufacturing engineering, as well as external suppliers.

What You’ll Do :

  • Design and develop parts, assemblies, and systems for high-current power converters.
  • Work on structural assemblies, high-current bus bars, connections, routing, thermal management, and environmental packaging.
  • Use CAD tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting; support analysis with FEA, CFD, and thermal simulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to bring designs from concept to volume manufacturing.
  • Engage in hands-on prototyping, testing, and validation of designs.

Key Requirements :

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering 6+ years experience
  • Proficient in 3D modeling and 2D drafting using commercial CAD software.
  • Familiarity with FEA, CFD, thermal analysis, and Ansys (a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes : machining, sheet metal forming, welding, 3D printing, molding, casting, etc.
  • Proven experience taking designs from concept to volume manufacturing.
  • Basic understanding of high-voltage and electrical principles.
