Key Responsibilities :

• Medication Dispensing : Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients.
• Patient Counseling : Provide thorough guidance on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
• Controlled Substances Management : Maintain precise records and responsibly manage controlled substances.
• Staff Training : Train and mentor pharmacy staff to uphold best practices.
• Collaborative Care : Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient care.
• Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess.
• Insurance Processing : Efficiently handle insurance claims and reimbursements.
• Customer Service : Professionally address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns.

Job Requirements :

• Required : Valid pharmacist license as per state regulations.
• Required : Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Preferred : 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.

Skills :

• In-depth knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in pharmacy management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Dedication to providing outstanding patient care.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Experience in inventory management and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Proven success in managing a pharmacy team effectively.
