Turner Industries Group is looking for a Vendor Scheduler for work in St. Gabriel, LA. This role will be responsible for maintaining supply plan for lower-level BOM components, placing orders for all direct materials and monitoring delivery to support scheduled production demands. The Scheduler facilitates resolution of delivery issues with production unit and vendors. This role participates in cycle count activities and has a shared responsibility for IRA metrics and performance. The position must interact closely with production units to closely match raw material inventory balances with planned consumption rates.

Functional Requirements :

Maintain supply plan for lower-level components for assigned chemical synthesis production / formulation / packaging

units and lines based on demands in SAP for finished goods; r eview MRP-generated requisitions for lower-level materials and create purchase orders that support production demands in both timing and quantity; r eview monthly supply requirements with Asset Planners and ensure that short and long range procurement plans meet requirements; w ork with suppliers to confirm deliveries and resolve supply problems and lead-time issues that effect the production plan; p rovide vendor forecasts as requested; m onitor production performance against plan and adjust material delivery requirements as necessary; m onitor design and regulatory changes to all lower level components and ensure that all materials on BOM are up- to-date; m onitor inventory of lower-level components including physical inventories and reconciliations to achieve high level of inventory accuracy; m aintain all vendor scheduling-related master data in SAP such as material masters, BOM's, routings and work centers; m onitor supplier performance and raise supplier issues with home office direct procurement personnel; r esolve Blocked Invoice Issues; be a b ackup to Asset Planners; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Qualification Standards :

• Minimum high school diploma
• Must have prior experience working as a Vendor Scheduler or Asset Planner in a manufacturing environment utilizing SAP / MRP
• Must have experience working in the Production Planning and Materials Management modules in SAP R / 3
• Experience with the Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a plus
• MRP II philosophy and principles
• Verbal communication skills
• Strategic and tactical thinking
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Product Suite
• Proficiency in SAP (MRP)
• Detail oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to work with many different people, both inside and outside the company
• Ability to deal with conflict and get along with people under pressure is important
• Must be self-motivated to look for problems and follow up on these
• Must have ability to multi-task, work independently and work as part of a team

Physical Involvement :
