Contract Administrator
As a Contract Administrator, you'll be responsible for documenting commercial leases and loans originated by Commerce Bank. These leases and loans range from $200,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 with varied equipment types for tax based commercial entities, municipalities, schools and other tax-exempt entities. You'll make sure all approvals and conditions are met, review lease and loan document requests, and tracking any outstanding items. If you are a detail-oriented person with the ability to manage multiple priorities, this might be the job for you.
Essential Functions :
- Prepare customer lease files and create lease and equipment loan documents consistent with bank policy
- Prepare a lien in the collateral through such methods as Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, motor vehicle filings and other appropriate methods
- Track receipt of any outstanding items including invoices
- Follow up for insurance information
- Prepare UCC financing statements and motor vehicle lien registration for customers and for assignees
- Verify insurance coverage on financed assets
- Set up escrow funds and disbursement of funds
- Monitor UCC report, filing termination or amendment statements as necessary
- Prepare lease amendment documentation
- Post documents to Commerce website
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required :
Basic knowledge of general principles of accountingBasic knowledge of general legal principles related to contract work and perfection of lien issues through the Uniform Commercial Code and motor vehicle titling lawsStrong phone skills and ability to type at least 40 words per minuteAbility to quickly learn and properly apply bank policy to various factual scenarios and to learn various bank systems used to create loan documentsStrong analytical and logical skillsMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesInquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core ValuesBasic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookEducation & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Legal studies or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Paralegal degree preferred.1+ years relevant industry experience relating to document creation required, ideally in commercial equipment loan or lease environment for a financial institution or law firmHybrid Schedule : In office 3 days per week, this position may also be remote and located outside the St. Louis market

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $26.25 to $45.45 per hour. Depending on the job level, this position may be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
