Diesel Mechanic (3+ years required)

Duties :

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with a fleet of GM vehicles
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
• Repair or replace faulty parts and components
• Use power tools, welding equipment, and soldering tools to complete repairs
• Operate heavy equipment as needed

Experience :

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of diesel engines

Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus

Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals

Proficient in using power tools, welding equipment, and soldering tools

Knowledge of electrical systems in diesel engines

Skills :

Ability to dig into complex mechanical issues and find effective solutions

MUST be an ASE certified mechanic

Proficient in using power tools, welding equipment, and soldering tools

Experience operating heavy equipment such as skid steers or excavators is a plus

Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics for electrical systems in diesel engines

Welding skills for repairing metal components
