Certified Medication Technician

Position Responsibilities :

1) Administers prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of licensed Nurse.

Verifies identity of patient receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.

2) Presents medication to patient and observes ingestion or other application, or administer medication, using specified procedures.

3) Takes vital signs or observes residents to detect response to specified types of medication as appropriate to the individual medication administered, prepares written report and notifies designated supervisory personnel of unexpected reactions.

Job Requirements :

This job requires a high school diploma, and at least 1 year of experience as a  CMA.  Ability to work 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. A full criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test, and TB testing are mandatory. Alzheimer’s and Dementia training is preferred, but not required.
