ER RN Job Details – Midland, TX Location : Midland, TX 79701 (West Texas healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Emergency Department (42 beds, daily census of 200) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Emergency Room Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Contract Duration : 12 weeks Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1700 - $1820 Patient Age Groups : Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Charting System : Cerner EMR (Cerner experience preferred) Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience in a similar-sized hospital Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (pending license accepted with submission; must be active before start) Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must be willing to obtain if not already held) NIHSS and NRP certifications preferred Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions and declinations allowed) Must pass on-site drug screening ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages Perform triage, assessment, and rapid intervention for trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and behavioral emergencies Administer emergency medications and treatments, including blood products, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure, ventilated patients, and those requiring advanced airway management Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training to maintain nursing competencies Work some holidays during the travel nursing assignment Take the next step in your ER nursing career with this travel RN job in Midland, Texas.
