ala, the premier destination for Levantine cuisine and cocktails in the heart of Old Town Bethesda, is looking for a hardworking and team-oriented   Barback   to support our bar team. This is a part-time or full-time evening and weekend position.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar (preferred)
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Reliable, efficient, and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stay on your feet during shifts
  • Passion for hospitality and learning about food, wine, and cocktails

    • Responsibilities

  • Support bartenders by restocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and ice
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked at all times
  • Remove trash and recyclables as needed
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Help with opening and closing duties of the bar
  • Assist bartenders during busy service to ensure smooth operations

    • Job Types : Full-time, Part-time

    Pay : $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

    Expected hours : No less than 25 per week
