Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant to join our team in Longview, TX. This role will begin in our established oncology clinic, helping to build and grow our oncology service line ahead of the opening of our new, state-of-the-art Cancer Center in October 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting
- Manage follow-up visits, monitor treatment progress, and adjust care plans as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with oncologists, nursing staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and ongoing care
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR and ensure continuity of care
- Support the growth and development of the oncology program as patient volume increases
Qualifications
Current Texas license as a Physician AssistantNational board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)Oncology Certified (AOCN) through Oncology Nursing SocietyPrevious experience in hematology / oncology requiredStrong communication, clinical, and organizational skillsCommitment to building a long-term practice and serving the community' Schedule & Compensation
