Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Sector Patrols in Fort Wayne, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media location, helping to deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your shift, interact professionally with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in supporting a welcoming environment, reflecting our commitment to teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Assist with access control and help to deter unauthorized entry to the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, addressing any unusual activity or situations that arise.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with Allied Universal leadership when required.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as security-related breaches, equipment malfunctions, or hazardous conditions.
  • Document activities and incidents through detailed and accurate written reports.
  • Support the maintenance of a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and property at the location.

  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
