Summary
Looking for someone to help organize and run the program. Must have knowledge of YoungStar, WMELS, and Portfolio Management. Works well with others and has self-starter initiative.
Duties
Administrative Responsibilities
- Carries out directives from the Administrator
- Becomes an Administrator designee in the absence of the Administrator
- Must be able to apply the mission statement to every aspect of the program
Staff Related Responsibilities
Provides orientation to new staff as mandated by HFS 46.05(1)(j)2 and the staff orientation formAssists teachers in resolving conflicts / disputesAssists the Administrator in staff schedulingPerforms formal classroom observationsDiscusses classroom observations with Administrator and staff involvedPerforms teacher evaluationsDocuments all pertinent informationReviews medical logs on a monthly basisReviews lesson plans on a monthly basisProvides teachers with guidance / feedbackCarry out disciplinary actions after conferring with the Administrator or according to policy in the absence of the AdministratorAssist in the hiring process as needed with the AdministratorEvaluates new hires with the 1-week questionnaire, 2-week review, 1-month review and 3-month goals or termination reviewEnsures that new policies and procedures are adhered toMake recommendations to the Administrator regarding termination of staffProgram Responsibilities
Edit policies to keep currentWrite policies as neededUpdate staff on city / state regulationsObtain feedback from parents regarding program changesMake recommendations to the Administration regarding program changesSubstitute in classrooms as neededOversee professional development days and staff meetingsOversee celebrations and charitable eventsSet up fundraisers with organizations and delegate duties as neededReview continuing education for teachers and post opportunities we receive through mail, phone or email.Full time 25 hours, part time 15 hoursHelp teachers with Registry questionsWork with outside resources to maintain quality of programWrite grant proposals for programAssist others in meeting individual professional and educational needsParent Responsibilities
Attend parent / teacher conferences when requestedAct as mediator between staff and families if neededProvide opportunities for family involvementProvide opportunities for family education
Requirements
Wisconsin Registry level 12 minimum
CPR / First Aid training
Will get background check and fingerprinting
Good work ethic
1 year experience in Early Childhood
