Sterile Processing Manager

Manages the daily operations of the Sterile Processing and Distribution area. Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day; prior Supply Chain experience needed. Weekends will depend on any special projects.
Responsibilities :
Assess the quality of services delivered. Work closely with clinical areas to determine and meet their requirements for medical equipment and supplies. Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determine and justify needs for systems / equipment / supplies purchases, monitor usage, and oversee proper working order and / or stock supplies. Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Perform and oversee scheduling, recruitment, and payroll. Assist with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

Associates (Required)Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
Additional Job Information :
Complexity of Work : Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience : Two (2) years of Sterile Processing with progressive leadership experience. Other Information : Must be certified as CPSDT or any other Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) certifications listed : Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Manager (CSPDM), Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT), Certified in Sterile Processing Management (CSPM), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS), Certified Endoscope Preprocessor (CER), or Certified Central Service Vendor Partner (CCSVP)
