Job Summary :
TechM is seeking a dedicated Testing Engineer to support our customer's engineering team in the development and qualification of new aircraft hardware and electrical systems. This role involves hands on execution of mechanical and environmental tests to validate design changes, working closely with customer's engineers and adhering to detailed protocols.
Responsibilities :
- Execute mechanical and environmental tests according to written instructions.
- Prepare and build test samples using basic hand and power tools.
- Operate and monitor tests such as drop tests, strength tests, and vibration tests.
- Accurately record and document test data.
- Perform visual inspections of test samples for defects, including cracks and loose fasteners.
- Assemble and set up test fixtures as directed by engineers.
- Support long duration tests and ensure consistent monitoring throughout the testing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized testing environment.
Types of Testing Involved :
Mechanical Loading : Shock, drop, vibration, strength, etc.Environmental : Water spraying and other environmental simulations as provided.Note : These services focus solely on test execution; no protocol development is required. Testing is aimed at development and design qualification, not production quality sampling.
Mandatory Skills :
Proficient in Shock and Vibration Analysis.Hands on experience with mechanical and environmental testing.Strong attention to detail in data recording and documentation.Ability to operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.Preferred Skills :
Experience in aerospace or related industries.Familiarity with test fixture assembly and setup.Knowledge of environmental testing protocols.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.5 7 years of relevant experience in testing and validation.Strong problem solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
