Overview
Broyhill Equipment LLC located in Dakota City, Nebraska, is in search of an individual to manage engineering and prototype duties. This is not a remote job.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily duties to engineering staff : Drafters and shop techs (projects and tasks)
- Design new and improve or modify existing equipment
- Produce and print out shop drawings for fabrication, welding, and assembly
- Tech support (phone and email)
- Owner's manuals : Layouts and instructions
- Product demos and trade shows
- Produce nesting programs for plasma table
- Identify new methods of manufacturing and assembly to help increase profitability
- Vendor sourcing (Identify quality, affordable components for use in product line)
- Creating and updating Bills of Materials in Materials management software (OSAS)
- Search and obtain replacement components for obsolete purchased parts
- Prototyping of new products and changes or retrofits of existing products
- Some assembly of products for fit and function
- Testing of new products and components
- Prototyping of new products and changes or retrofits of existing products
- Occasional sales phone
