Top Secret Contracting Officer Supervisory Branch Head

You will serve as a Contracting Officer, Supervisory Branch Head and single point of contact for one of our major customers.

You will be responsible for acquisition planning and coordination of customer's task assignments, source selection, processing contract award documentation, and award and administration of contracts.

You will supervise employees to include team leads, senior specialists, junior specialists, and entry-level team members.

You will mentor intern and career personnel and provide training and guide junior acquisition professionals of varying skill and certification levels.

You will assist the Division Chief / Division Head with reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate metrics are captured and reported on behalf of the Division.

You will be responsible for tracking / reporting tripwire initiatives, as well as management information system data.

You will serve as a single point of contact for a major technical customer, coordinating current and projected work assignments, negotiating manageable timelines, and regular reporting and coordination.

You will perform the full range of supervisory duties for a diverse group of acquisition professionals.

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final Top Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.

You will be required to obtain and maintain warrant authority above the small purchase threshold.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.

You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics.
