Radiologic Technologist Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Contract

Location : Midland, Texas 79701

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Community hospital, Radiology Unit

Shift : Day shifts, 5x8-hour (08 : 00 – 16 : 30, 08 : 00 – 17 : 00, or 08 : 30 – 17 : 00)

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1850–$1990

Call : Required (Monday to Friday 5pm–midnight; weekends 8am–8pm)

Holiday Coverage : May be required

Float : May float to other locations within the health system

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)

Active ARRT (R) certification

BLS certification

Texas Radiologic Technologist license (pending license accepted, must be active before start)

Experience in Trauma Level I and II hospital settings required

Experience with Cerner charting system preferred

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions and declinations allowed)

On-site drug screen required prior to assignment

Radiology Job Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures for all patient age groups : neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Operate radiologic equipment including portable X-ray and C-Arm devices

Assist in trauma cases and provide imaging support in ER, ICU, and operating room settings

Conduct specialized radiology procedures such as myelography, barium studies, and upper GI series

Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions

Float to other hospital locations as needed (Main, West, Legends)

Participate in on-call rotation and holiday coverage as scheduled

Document procedures and patient information accurately in the hospital’s charting system
