The Why
SPS is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our operational efficiency and maintain our commitment to delivering high-quality, integrated security solutions. This strategic role is essential as we continue to innovate and scale our manufacturing capabilities to meet the growing demands of our diverse clientele. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizes Manufacturing processes for in-house Production, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Design new systems and equipment, improve existing processes, and ensure manufacturing operations are safe and meet regulations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and provide Production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Process design and improvement
- Analyze and evaluate current manufacturing processes identify areas for improvement
- Design, develop and implement new manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Evaluate product designs to ensure manufacturability to optimize production efficiency
- Facilitate problem solving actives to resolve process or production issues
- Develop and update standard operating procedures for Operational tasks
- Develop and maintain process control systems in Manufacturing
- Define and optimize equipment, tooling and fixtures for efficient processes
- Articulate business requirements across functions
- Collaborate with Quality teams to ensure processes meet required standards
- Set and monitor key performance indicators
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with health, safety and environmental regulations
