Knowledge of hand-held scan tools and the process of diagnosing vehicles. Proficient computer skills : knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job. Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise. Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance Ability to move and position heavy objects Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

Overview
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US , is looking to hire a skilled Traveling Diesel Technician! The Diesel Technician is responsible for deploying to locations to perform the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The Diesel Technician position requires high level of proficiency and working knowledge related to heavy duty Diesel Engine diagnosis and repair. Comprehension of Fleet Maintenance operations, understanding of electrical, preventative maintenance and DOT inspection experience and knowledge.
Note : Candidate needs to be comfortable traveling on a weekly basis to nearby sites in the Midwest area (Columbus, Cincinnati, & Detroit)
and then across the country on a as needed.
Compensation : Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $38-$43 per hour, depending on experience!
- Potential Sign On Bonus, up to $2,500
SHIFT : Sunday-Thursday 7 : 00AM-3 : 30PM
