Investment Analyst
This position will be an integral member of the Penn Mutual Asset Management (PMAM) team and will develop a strong understanding of the markets and provide significant input into decision making by presenting opinions and influencing investment decisions.
Essential Functions
- Contribute to the idea generation process and identify appropriate investment response to key themes, opportunities, and risks in the capital markets broadly.
- Assess suitability and operational risk associated with the execution of investment strategies.
- Conduct due diligence reviews on current and prospective managers and investments to include : onsite meetings and conference calls with senior personnel; review and analysis of fund / investment documents and information, such as offering memoranda, financial statements, due diligence questionnaires, audit reports, and regulatory reports.
- Prepare written reports and analytics to monitor the ongoing performance of managers and specific investment strategies.
- Facilitate strategic dialogue, clear communication, and thought leadership between external managers, management teams, and Penn Mutual Asset Management's investment team / senior leadership.
- Contribute to portfolio construction, investment allocation, and planning process.
- Help establish long term investment objectives for Penn Mutual's Alternative Asset portfolio.
- Provide forward-looking opinions on individual investments and sectors required for All Jobs.
- Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
- Remains current in profession and industry trends required for All Jobs.
- Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Economics Required0-3 years of Investment experience requiredCharter Financial Analyst (CFA) PreferredCharter Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) PreferredBase salary : $95,000 - $115,000
5% estimated travel for due diligence trips or annual meetings.
Candidate Note : This role is a Hybrid role which will require an in-office presence in the Philadelphia area.
