Schedule : Full-time, Hourly, On-site

What You'll Do

The Orthopedic Triage Nurse (RN / LPN) provides specialized, telephone-based assessment and clinical guidance for patients experiencing musculoskeletal issues. This role involves evaluating symptoms, reviewing imaging or surgical history, advising on pain or injury management, and directing patients to appropriate care levels. The triage nurse ensures patients receive timely orthopedic care, improves clinical efficiency, and enhances the overall patient experience.

Orthopedic Telephone Triage

• Evaluate patient calls regarding joint pain, fractures, sprains, post-surgical symptoms, and orthopedic hardware concerns.
• Use clinical protocols and musculoskeletal expertise to determine care needs—ranging from home care and urgent visits to emergency evaluation.
• Review imaging, prior treatment plans, or surgical notes as needed to inform triage decisions.
