As a Security Officer, you will serve as an integral part of the security team completing on the job trainings, operating the Dispatch and Communications Center, and responding to calls for Security to de-escalate and resolve issues involving guests, employees, and the public. You will also gain experience managing a Dispatch / Communications center and responding to disturbances in need of Security and Law Enforcement response.
You will :
- Facilitate all park-wide communication via radio, phone, and email
- Monitor weather throughout the day to ensure safe operation for all rides and attractions
- Maintain records and logs to ensure important and timely information is accessible
- Monitor video camera surveillance to ensure guest safety & enforce park policy
- Maintain and enforce safety standards
- Monitor Security checkpoints and posts inspecting all bags and persons accessing or leaving the property
- Complete routine patrols of the park and surrounding properties on foot and in patrol vehicles
- Provide guests, employees, and vendors with safe and secure environment
- Work independently or within in a team to provide a consistent message and security presence
- Respond and provide aid for Emergency situations
- Complete incident reports
- Complete assigned tasks from management as needed

At least 18 years of ageMust have a valid driver's licenseMinimum 1 year Security, Law Enforcement, or comparable experienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalentExperience in completing incident reportsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite with high aptitude for computer software systemsMust be able to act responsibly with a high attention to safetyMust be able to lift, push, pull and / or carry up to 50 lbsPosition engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shiftPerform the following physical activities : kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist / waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools / keyboard / writing)Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicalsMust be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standardsMust be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat (both in and out of costume)Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement.Must be available to work shift rotations including : 7 : 00AM-3 : 30PM, 3 : 00 PM-11 : 30PM, and 11 : 00PM-7 : 30AMConsistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situationsAbility to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelinesThe perks of the position : Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as :
