Position Summary

The Construction & Engineering Coordinator will inspect and oversee any construction work, both aerial and buried, for Lightcurve plant facilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Meet with contractors, developers, builders, other utilities, State, County, cities, etc for field work jobs.
  • Design

(Fiber / Coax / Copper)

or work with designated contractors to design plant jobs.

  • Fill out permits for

    • State / County / City / Power

    Utilities for construction jobs.

  • Meet with Lightcurve OSP techs to make sure they understand the scope of designs & field prints for construction.
  • Work with Facilities team to get completed designs into facilities system.
  • Inspect jobs of contractors and internal workers in the field to ensure Lightcurve Construction standards are met.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident

    • Skills Required

  • 3 years Engineering experience or related work history in the Fiber / Copper / Coax industry.
  • Understanding of and ability to use : Pole Measuring tools, Computer design programs, Excel, DWG, GIS
  • Must possess the ability to apply technical expertise to a variety of situations, evaluate problems and implement the best solution.
  • Must possess the ability to successfully work under minimal supervision, within broad guidelines of procedures and goals.
  • Must possess the ability to always demonstrate a professional attitude and appearance.

  • Timely completion of jobs / projects, including closing Work Orders, As-Builts, and Facilities Data, while staying within budget and quality standards.

    • Special Requirements

  • Confidence working alone as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules in order to provide needed coverage.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and non-negligent driving record.
  • Current first aid, CPR, or Flagger training a plus.

  • This pay for this position starts at $32.50 per hour DOE
  • Reimbursable mileage / travel
